# TikTok Views

**Overview**\
TikTok hashtags act as a leading indicator of cultural virality. Tracking how many times a hashtag has been viewed provides a strong measure of consumer awareness, product buzz, and brand-driven conversations. In TickerTrends, hashtag view data allows investors to identify breakout moments and measure whether attention is sustaining or fading. On "Single Series" mode, users can see additional info on that specific hashtag such as "Top Regions", "Related Interests", and "Age Range".

**Historical Length**\
TickerTrends provides 3 years of historical data at a monthly granularity, enabling long-term analysis of viral cycles and seasonal spikes.

**Granularity**\
The standard dataset is monthly. However, for recent periods, daily granularity is available with up to the last one week of history available. This allows near real-time tracking of viral moments as they happen.

**Update Frequency**\
Updated monthly for 3 year view, usually within the first week of the new month. But the last one week view updates daily, with daily completed day data, making it possible to capture fast shifts in consumer attention.

**Methodology**\
TickerTrends aggregates hashtag impression data from TikTok. Each tracked hashtag datapoint on the 3 year view reflects **daily views** for that TikTok hashtag for interpolated weekly datapoints within that month.

**Use Cases**

* Detect breakout products, brands, or campaigns early by monitoring sudden surges in hashtag views.
* Track whether viral attention sustains beyond an initial spike.
* Compare momentum between competing brands to identify share of cultural conversation.
* Correlate spikes in TikTok hashtags with website traffic, app usage, and sales conversions for a complete view of impact.
