# TikTok Likes & Follows

**Overview**\
TikTok has become one of the most important platforms for virality, cultural influence, and product discovery. Tracking follower growth on brand-linked TikTok accounts provides a direct measure of how fast a brand’s social presence is expanding. For consumer-facing companies, follower momentum often precedes spikes in awareness, engagement, and sometimes even sales.

On "Multi" series mode, users see a time series of total TikTok likes the selected account is receiving on a daily basis.

In "Single" series mode, users see "likes", "followers", "following", and "uploads" - providing far more granular details about the account selected.

**Historical Length**\
Coverage extends several years depending on account history. Most tracked TikTok accounts have multi-year data available, making it possible to evaluate follower momentum around past campaigns and product launches.

**Granularity**\
Data is collected and stored daily, allowing precise analysis of growth streaks, spikes around viral content, and changes in momentum.

**Update Frequency**\
Updated daily, with a short lag of roughly 24 hours from platform activity.

**Methodology**\
We source raw account-level metrics from public web pages and preserve the original data without normalization, ensuring full transparency into actual platform dynamics. For each tracked account, we collect:

* **Followers**: Daily changes in total account followers
* **Following**: Accounts followed by the brand
* **Likes**: Aggregate likes across all TikTok posts
* **Uploads**: Number of TikTok videos uploaded
* **Engagement Trends**: Derived from spikes or declines across these metrics

This allows investors to track not just audience size, but also posting cadence and engagement momentum.

**Use Cases**

* Identify viral breakout campaigns by watching sudden follower and like surges
* Track content velocity (uploads) to see when brands are ramping activity
* Compare multiple brands’ TikTok traction to determine share of attention
* Measure how marketing pushes translate into audience retention and engagement
