# Research Tasks

### Overview

**Research Tasks** run recurring TickerTrends research from a saved prompt.

Write any research question, choose a cadence, and set a delivery time. TickerTrends runs the task on schedule and delivers an alert in the platform or by email.

### Create a research task

1. Enter the prompt you want TickerTrends to research.
2. Choose how often the task should run.
3. Set the time of day for the alert.
4. Select in-platform alerts, email, or both.

Use tasks for recurring screening, monitoring, and scheduled research updates.

### Get precise, structured results

Be specific about the companies, data points, and time period you need. TickerTrends follows those requirements and returns the findings in a clear, structured format.

For example, ask it to rank TMT companies by forecast growth, then include the relevant tracker metrics and a short rationale for each result.
