1. How to Start - Search for Tickers or Terms

Users can simply type any company or keyword and the dashboard will populate with a dashboard of all keywords across all data sources that are most similar to that keyword.

Let's search RBLX.

We immediately see a few options when clicking on the ticker symbol. We see that TickerTrends offers predictions for metrics Roblox reports. We also are able to immediately navigate to related keywords on the Exploding Trends page. In addition, if a user wants to analyze raw data only for the company, they should select "Analyze" which is what this walkthrough will explain.

We first notice a few things. The "Suggested Starting Points" give users some common searched keywords that might be related to consumer interest in the business' product or service. As an example, we can for example immediately click the "Roblox" Android term to get the DAU data loaded for US Android users.

Users can "Hide Suggested Terms" if they want to collapse that view.

Additionally, the three lines and the down arrow in "View" let users go from seeing the opened view with all terms of each data source showing vs the collapsed view

The "Related Symbols" section attempts to show the most similar stocks to the inputted search term or ticker. TickerTrends offers 10,000's of stocks from all across the globe.

Double clicking on any of these tickers, will search the ticker in the search bar. We will later see how to display alternative data time series on this view.

We see that users see results for whatever they search. We call the Research Page the "Google Search of Alternative Data" for this reason.
