# Google Images

**Overview**\
Google Images Trends track how often users search for and engage with image based queries over time. In TickerTrends, this data reflects visual based discovery, brand aesthetic interest, and early stage curiosity around products, fashion, travel, and lifestyle trends that may not yet appear in traditional text search data.

**Historical Length**\
Available from 2004 to present, depending on keyword and category coverage.

**Granularity**\
Weekly data is the default, with certain shorter time ranges supporting daily granularity. In TickerTrends, we standardize this feed to ensure consistent long term historical tracking.

**Update Frequency**\
Data is updated weekly. Users typically see a roughly one week lag between real world image search activity and TickerTrends availability.

**Methodology**\
Google Images Trends provides indexed 0-100 scores rather than absolute search counts. We rely on Google’s normalization techniques and display the data as provided. This allows users to analyze relative changes in visual interest rather than exact query volumes.

**Use Cases**

* Detect early visual interest in fashion, beauty, and consumer products before text search spikes.
* Track rising styles, product designs, or branding aesthetics.
* Monitor interest in travel destinations, interior design, and lifestyle themes.
* Identify emerging visual trends driven by social platforms and influencer content.
