News Article Volume
Overview News Article Volume tracks how frequently a company, brand, product, or topic appears across global digital news publications over time. In TickerTrends, this data captures media attention and narrative momentum, which often reflects shifts in investor sentiment, public awareness, and business inflection points before they show up in fundamentals.
Historical Length Coverage typically spans multiple years depending on the keyword entered.
Granularity Monthly data is the default for news volume. In TickerTrends, we standardize this feed into consistent time series so users can analyze short term media spikes as well as longer trend cycles.
Update Frequency Data is updated monthly. Users generally see only a one to two day delay between when articles are published and when the volume appears inside TickerTrends.
Methodology News Article Volume reflects the total count of published articles that mention a specific keyword entered across a large publisher network. This value only represents articles where the keyword appears in the title or header, not the text itself. We normalize the data to ensure consistency across time and publishers. This allows users to compare relative changes in media attention rather than absolute article counts.
